Join Our Community of Helping Hands

At the Downtown Denver Islamic Center, volunteering is more than just lending a hand, it’s about building bridges across Denver’s diverse communities. When you volunteer with us, you’ll meet people from all walks of life and make a real difference for new American families settling into our city.

Volunteer at our Food Pantry

Volunteering at the Downtown Denver Islamic Center food pantry means showing up for your community in a meaningful way. You’ll work alongside other committed people to receive food, stock shelves and assist with customer service. New American families will get access to the food and support they need to thrive in Denver.

How You Can Help

Sign up for a shift that fits your schedule, or reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Emily Martin, if you have any questions. We’d love to have you and your family join us in making a positive, welcoming difference!

What Volunteers Are Saying

“Volunteering with DDIC has been an amazing way for me to spend quality time with my kids. We got to step outside our usual routines and see firsthand how welcoming and helping new American families can really open your eyes. My kids absolutely loved it, and I know they’ll remember the experience for a long time. It’s been such a rewarding and eye-opening journey for all of us.”
