Non-Discrimination Statement

The Downtown Denver Islamic Center (DDIC) is committed to creating and maintaining an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and respectful for all. Guided by both the principles of Islam and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, DDIC strictly prohibits discrimination and harassment in any of its programs, services, volunteer opportunities, employment, or community engagements.

DDIC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, sex, age, or disability, in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. We believe that diversity strengthens our mission.

DDIC is dedicated to serving immigrants, refugees, low-income families, and all who seek assistance, regardless of background or beliefs. We expect all who serve or participate in DDIC programs, including leaders, staff, volunteers, and attendees, to uphold these values of respect, integrity, and justice.

Anyone who believes they have experienced discrimination, harassment, or mistreatment in connection with DDIC, is encouraged to report the matter to DDIC leadership. Reports will be addressed promptly, fairly, and with confidentiality, in accordance with both Islamic principles of justice and DDIC’s bylaws. Appropriate action will be taken to ensure accountability and the protection of our community.

Together, guided by the Islamic principles, and our ethical and legal responsibilities, we commit to ensuring dignity, equity, and justice for all.
