Now Hiring: Part-Time Family Navigator

• Conduct intake meetings with individuals and families to assess immediate and long-term needs
• Gather demographic, household, language, employment, education, and benefits information
• Identify barriers related to healthcare, employment, housing, transportation, legal documentation, education, and food security
• Develop individualized support plans and prioritize urgent needs

• Provide ongoing case management and follow-up support for assigned households
• Help families navigate systems related to:
  • SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, and public benefits
  • Driver’s licenses and state IDs
  • Banking and financial access
  • School enrollment and ESL classes
  • Employment and workforce development
  • Healthcare and dental services
  • Housing and rental support
• Assist families with forms, applications, appointments, and understanding official communications
• Help participants understand cultural norms and systems in the U.S.

• Advocate on behalf of participants with schools, resettlement agencies, medical providers, landlords, and government agencies
• Provide interpretation and translation support when needed
• Coordinate referrals to community partners and outside service providers
• Help families access emergency food, transportation, or financial assistance when appropriate

• Assist participants with resumes, job applications, interview preparation, and job searches
• Connect participants to workforce development and educational opportunities
• Support participants in increasing long-term independence and stability

• Maintain accurate case notes and participant records within DDIC’s CRM system
• Track outputs and outcomes related to participant services and program goals
• Assist with collecting stories, milestones, and success metrics for reporting purposes
• Protect participant confidentiality and sensitive information at all times

• Build trusting relationships within immigrant and refugee communities
• Participate in community events, outreach activities, and partner meetings as needed
• Help strengthen DDIC’s network of culturally responsive support services throughout metro Denver

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Deep empathy and cultural sensitivity
• Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or vulnerable populations preferred
• Ability to build trust across diverse communities
• Organized and capable of managing multiple family cases simultaneously
• Comfortable navigating government systems, healthcare systems, and community resources
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Denver metro area
• Bilingual or multilingual candidates strongly preferred (Arabic, Farsi/Dari, Pashto, Urdu, Spanish, or other relevant languages)

• Case management or social services experience
• Experience with refugee resettlement systems or public benefits
• Familiarity with Denver-area nonprofit and community resources
• Experience using CRM or case management software
• Community outreach or advocacy experience

This position is highly community-facing and relationship-driven. Work may occur in homes, schools, hospitals, government offices, food pantries, community centers, and partner organizations throughout the Denver metro area. Some evening or weekend flexibility may occasionally be required.
