Now Hiring: Part-Time Family Navigator
Downtown Denver Islamic Center (DDIC) invests in the future of Denver through essential humanitarian services for immigrants, refugees, and low-income families. Located in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, DDIC provides food relief, emergency financial assistance, and culturally responsive navigation services to individuals and families throughout the Denver metro area.
While DDIC is uniquely qualified to support Muslim immigrants and refugees from Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia, we proudly serve all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion. Our work is grounded in compassion, dignity, responsiveness, inclusion, and community.
The Family Navigator serves as a trusted guide and advocate for immigrant, refugee, and low-income families navigating life in the United States. This role provides highly personalized, culturally responsive support to help individuals and families access essential services, reduce barriers to stability, and move toward long-term self-sufficiency.
This is a relationship-driven role that combines case management, advocacy, interpretation, transportation coordination, systems navigation, and emotional support. The Family Navigator works directly with families in community settings, government offices, schools, healthcare systems, and partner organizations.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, resourceful, organized, culturally aware, and comfortable working in fast-paced and emotionally complex environments.
How To Apply
DDIC’s Family Navigation Program is rooted in dignity, compassion, and cultural responsiveness. We recognize that newcomers often face language barriers, cultural disorientation, transportation challenges, and difficulty navigating complex systems. Our goal is not simply to connect families to services, but to walk alongside them as they build confidence, stability, and long-term independence.
This is a part-time contractor position with annual compensation ranging from $20,000 to $25,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Please submit a resume and short statement of interest describing your experience working with immigrant, refugee, or culturally diverse communities to:
