Masjid Al-Shuhada and Imam Kolila were deeply honored to be part of Denver City Council’s Proclamation recognizing Ramadan 1447 AH and Eid Al-Fitr on February 9. We greatly value this recognition of a month that shapes our faith, our values, and our service to others. For many Muslims, especially our children and elders, being seen and honored like this touches something deep in the heart.
This was a true community effort. We are grateful to every organization that stood together in unity and sincerity to make this happen. And a special, heartfelt thank you to Sarah Parady, Denver City Council Member At-Large, for her support and solidarity with the Muslim community. Your leadership sends a powerful message: we belong.
May this Ramadan bring light, healing, and compassion to our city.
