Rafaat M. B. Ludin is a leader in non-profit and for-profit sectors, bringing more than 30 years of community development, and international program management experience to the role. He most recently led Dar al Islam, a nationally recognized Islamic educational and spiritual retreat center, where he oversaw operations and finances, drove donor engagement and fundraising initiatives, and facilitated organization of retreats and educational programming rooted in Seerah, Islamic character development, the Islamic Arts, and spirituality. His career spans senior leadership roles with globally operating companies, including his own businesses.

Hossam is a long time resident of Denver, seasoned business owner and the connective tissue to local resources in the Denver metro area. His practical approach and ability to recruit volunteers and local businesses to regularly participate in DDIC’s community oriented programs are essential.

Aya is a social media specialist and graphic designer with over six years of experience in social media management. She is passionate about social justice and human rights and has worked with NGOs focused on sustainability, supporting orphans, and empowering the visually impaired community. Aya believes in the power of social media to inspire positive change, strengthen community connections, and encourage greater participation in DDIC events across Denver.

Food Coordinator
Nathan has extensive experience working with non-profits throughout the Denver area. He brings a strong background and interest in food security, food access, and food justice. He is passionate about building inclusive communities and improving human, social, and environmental health. At DDIC, Nathan oversees food sourcing, logistics and distribution to ensure our program reaches our neighbors with efficiency.
Outside of work, you can find him hiking the mountains of Colorado, playing guitar, or operating his small pet care business.

Emily is an experienced volunteer coordinator with a strong background in growing, managing, and supporting large-scale volunteer programs in the nonprofit sector. She is passionate about creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where volunteers feel empowered to support and show up for their community and neighbors. At DDIC, Emily will recruit, train and support volunteers who make our programs possible.
Being newer to the Denver area, Emily is excited to continue building connections and exploring all the beauty the Front Range has to offer. Outside of work, you’ll find her on her bike, out on a hike, participating in recreational sports, or at a coffee shop with a good book.

Aos Elabied is a dedicated Food Coordinator at the Downtown Denver Islamic Center. He plays a key role in ensuring food is safely picked up, organized, and delivered to community members in need. Aos is reliable, thoughtful, and deeply committed to serving the DDIC community with care and consistency. His work behind the scenes helps make our food programs run smoothly and ensures families receive support with dignity and respect.

Manal Kayaalp serves as a contractor assisting with the DDIC Food Pantry. She brings experience in healing and supporting individuals through her background as a Chinese medicine therapist. With strengths in management, design, and communication, Manal is passionate about helping people and contributing to community well-being through organized, compassionate service.

Rohina has more than five years of professional experience working as a Design Engineer with the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) in Afghanistan, where she was responsible for the design and technical review of water supply and rural infrastructure projects.
She is currently based in the United States and works as a contractor in collaboration with DDIC, contributing to community-focused initiatives, including support for the DDIC Food Pantry. She is committed to applying her technical expertise, professional experience, and strong sense of responsibility in service of community development and well-being.

Keith is an information technology and internet veteran with 30 years of professional experience. He is passionate about social equity and wishes to leverage his skill-set for the good of mankind. At DDIC, Keith is constantly iterating the technology of our processes to ensure smooth operations for Food Relief and beyond. Outside of DDIC, Keith is an artist and also works with people to become better informed about their internet security.
