Muhammad KolilaVice Chair
Muhammad is a community leader and activist in education, charity, peace building, interfaith partnerships, community development, projects management and spirituality. Muhammad has a MA in Religious Studies, from the University of Denver, and has a B.A in Translation Studies and Linguistics.
He has ten years of work experience in educational institutions and currently the Imam of Masjid Al Shuhada', Downtown Denver Islamic Center as well as the Principal and Executive Director at Denver Islamic Society. |
Mack PetersonSecretary
Mack is a Colorado native who reverted to Islam after researching the Quran for a college assignment. He has worked in the social services field since 2018, working with Denver residents experiencing homelessness and poverty and currently works in public housing, serving older adults and people with disabilities.
He received his BA in Art from Metropolitan State University of Denver and uses his training to make animated nightlights for kids that are based on Islamic geometry. As the DDIC Secretary, he is responsible for writing the meeting minutes and helping to write grant narratives. |
Hossam HassanTreasurer
Hossam is a long time resident of Denver, seasoned business owner and the connective tissue to local resources in the Denver metro area. His practical approach and ability to recruit volunteers and local businesses to regularly participate in DDIC's community oriented programs are essential.
Hossam received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Alexandria University. Hossam chairs our Youth Development program and overseas applications for student financial assistance. |
