The Downtown Denver Islamic Center (Masjid Al-Shuhada’) is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to provide a peaceful and welcoming space of Islamic rituals and education for all. Our purpose is to practice and share the teachings and values of Islam by providing religious, spiritual, educational and recreational facilities for those interested.
We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, dedicated to providing humanitarian services to immigrants, refugees, and low-income families in Denver.
Our mission is to empower low-income or vulnerable individuals of the Denver community through equitable access to direct and collaborative services to support their financial, social, spiritual, and personal needs.
Our vision is to ease hardships by bridging gaps in the name of God.
We recognize the unique challenges faced by immigrants, refugees, and low-income families, and we strive to empower them through education, resources, and support. Our goal is to improve the health and well-being of our community by reducing food insecurity and promoting food justice.
Through our partnerships with local businesses, food banks, nonprofits, and individuals, we are able to leverage resources and create a network of support for those in need. We are dedicated to creating a sustainable and equitable food system that benefits everyone in our community.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity. Join us in our mission to create a healthier and more equitable Denver.
