The Downtown Denver Islamic Center (Masjid Al-Shuhada’) is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to provide a peaceful and welcoming space of Islamic rituals and education for all. Our purpose is to practice and share the teachings and values of Islam by providing religious, spiritual, educational and recreational facilities for those interested.
We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, dedicated to addressing food insecurity among immigrants, refugees, and low-income families in Denver. Our mission is to provide access to nutritious and culturally-appropriate food, regardless of race, religion, or socio-economic status.
We believe that no one should go hungry, and we are committed to serving our community with compassion and dignity. Our organization works to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals and families who seek our assistance.
We recognize the unique challenges faced by immigrants, refugees, and low-income families, and we strive to empower them through education, resources, and support. Our goal is to improve the health and well-being of our community by reducing food insecurity and promoting food justice.
Through our partnerships with local businesses, food banks, nonprofits, and individuals, we are able to leverage resources and create a network of support for those in need. We are dedicated to creating a sustainable and equitable food system that benefits everyone in our community.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity. Join us in our mission to create a healthier and more equitable Denver.
